Summon your scream squad and you might survive eight terrifying haunted houses, the Terror Tram, sinister scare zones, live entertainment and exhilarating attractions. Halloween Horror Nights is a specially ticketed, nighttime event at Universal Studios Hollywood. On select nights in the fall, Universal Studios Hollywood is transformed into L.A.'s most terrifying Halloween experience, filled with haunted walk-through attractions, intense scare zones, roaming scare-actors, and nightmare-inducing rides, shows and attractions.
Universal Studios Hollywood is located in Los Angeles, California right off the 101 (Hollywood) Freeway, approximately 10 minutes north of Downtown Los Angeles. You can exit either Universal Studios Boulevard or Lankershim Blvd.
Parking on Halloween Horror Night Event Dates are as follows: General Parking All Day: $35 Preferred Parking All Day: $55 Front Gate Parking: $75 *General Parking is subject to availability. Parking rates may change without notice.
This Halloween event starts on September 5, 2024, and runs on select nights through November 3, 2024.
The event starts at 7:00 PM.
Closing times vary. Please see the operating calendar above for closing times on your selected date.
There is no age minimum for the event. However, this event is recommended for mature audiences only. Parents with children under the age of 13 are strongly encouraged to reconsider visiting this event with their children.
Universal Hollywood does not allow guests to wear costumes, masks and/or face paint. Line jumping will result in expulsion from the park and place-holding in line is not permitted. Touching, pushing, or hitting any scareactors is strictly prohibited. No weapons of any kind are permitted. Any item that resembles a weapon or is manufactured in the shape of a weapon will not be permitted.
No outside food or beverages are permitted. However, many of the park's restaurants will be offering themed food and drinks, so bring your appetite.
Alcohol will be served at select locations during certain hours, subject to availability. Outside drinks are not permitted at Universal Studios Hollywood during Halloween Horror Nights. Must be age 21+ with a valid state or government ID to purchase/consume alcohol. IDs will be checked.
No recording, flash photography, flashlights or laser pens are permitted in the haunted houses.
Sorry, re-entry is not permitted.
The haunted houses contain loud sounds, sudden movements, and effects that may be too intense for children. Parental discretion is advised. Expectant mothers and persons with the following conditions should not experience the haunted houses: - Heart conditions or abnormal blood pressure - Medical sensitivity to strobe effects - Medical sensitivity to fog effects - Fear of enclosed spaces
Accessible routes and access for guests in wheeled mobility devices are provided throughout the park. Many rides, shows, attractions, escalators, and parking structures are designed to accommodate guests in wheelchairs and other disabilities comfortably. For details, visit Guest Relations located at the park's front entrance.
Wheelchairs and electric convenience vehicles (ECVs) are available for a fee at Universal Hollywood's wheelchair/stroller rental facility located just inside the main entrance.

Universal Studios Hollywood refers to the experiences as "houses" for continuity across both Universal Studios Hollywood and Universal Orlando Resort since they share many of the same experiences. You can expect the same level of terrifying excitement you've always experienced during this event.
